Before you ever get to a rink you need to practice putting on your gear. This helps to know how it goes on but as well what feels right. If you don’t feel comfortable in your gear (no matter how nice it is) you will not feel confident, and without confidence you will fail. This is a REALLY quick how to video. You can watch it several times or in slow motion to see the particulars, it’s all there. It is aimed at young goalies and their parents (the sound track is for the kids and me), Goaltending is the least understood position in hockey and consequentially the least taught. This is the second in a series of videos to help young aspiring goalies and their parents bridge a knowledge gap in the absence of a goalie coach. The next video will deal with the stand-up myth.
