Principles of Coaching Course

The Special Olympics Principles of Coaching Course is a coaching education program designed to instruct professionals, volunteers, and family members in the basic strategies of being a Special Olympics coach. This six-hour course is not sportspecific, but instead covers the general principles of coaching athletes with intellectual disabilities. The course is conducted in a classroom setting and is presented using PowerPoint, discussion and small group exercises.
