    • Pass Interference - Definition

      • Interference with the opportunity to catch a pass
      • Usually playing the player not the ball
      • Eligible receiver cannot initiate contact beyond LOS
      • Only applies a legal forward pass play
      • Not pass interference if:
        • Ball has touched a player or official
        • Contact is before the neutral zone
        • Contact occurs immediately after the snap, within 1 yard of the neutral zone
        • Both players are making a genuine attempt to reach the ball
        • The pass is not catchable
