Directors of Basketball Operations
Kyle Condon | Georgia State University
Kyle Condon joined the Georgia State staff as the Director of Operations in April 2019 after 10 years at Tennessee. During the 2018-19 season, Condon served as the assistant to the head coach under Rick Barnes. He helped guide Tennessee to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament and a No. 1 ranking during the season. The Springfield, Va., native was a student manager with the Volunteers for four years and then rose to a graduate position, which he occupied for two years before being promoted to his current full-time post. During the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, he was responsible for several basketball operations duties, handling equipment distribution, oversight of the managerial staff and assisting with team meals and travel logistics.
Cynthia Jordan | The University of South Carolina
Cynthia Jordan was named director of basketball operations prior to the 2011-12 season after spending her first three seasons on the staff as the video coordinator. She began her career in college athletics as a graduate assistant at Temple University in 2007-08. Jordan coordinates all team activities, including all aspects of the team’s travel arrangements. She is responsible for communicating all scheduling items to the team and serves as the program’s liaison with various other areas within the athletics department. As the video coordinator at South Carolina, Jordan was responsible for taping games and practices, breaking down film and coordinating the ongoing video needs of the coaching staff. As a GA at Temple, she began working with editing opponent films for the coaching staff while also evaluating high school prospect videos.
Fred Quartlebaum | The University of Kansas
Fred Quartlebaum joined the Kansas men’s basketball staff as director of student-athlete development in June 2013. In three seasons at KU, Quartlebaum has been part of Kansas’ 10th, 11th and 12th-straight Big 12 regular-season championships, one Big 12 Tournament title, two in-season tourney titles and an NCAA Championship Elite Eight run in 2016. Additionally, Quartlebaum has seen five Jayhawks move on to the NBA, including Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid, the No. 1 and No. 3 overall selections in the 2014 NBA Draft.
