Lesson 5:
Inverted Veer Read
This is a staple to many spread read option teams. Run from a Trips Wing formation, the Inverted Read places the stress on the defense Defensive End to the trips side. The bonus blocker in this play is the wing back who also reads the DE to determing his blocking angle and destination. Perimeter blocking is critical on the give.
*While I'd love to show video breakdown's like this on every play...legally I can't! This play is also found free on Facebook and Youtube and I also included it here because it is another great play from JMU.

FACT: JMU averaged 48 points and 507 Yards per game this past year. Check it out here: http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fcs/current/team/21 We wouldn't lie. That's why we studied their Offense...to breakdown exactly why it was so good. National Champion good... If your offense isn't producing, it's NOT always your fault. Not every coach gets to dedicate their lives to football for 10-12 hours...
