    • Skiing Tutorial - The 'Ski Nerd' gives a short ski lesson on how to do Javelin turns... Javelin turns are a classic exercise that ski instructors use with advanced skiers to help improve turning with the lower body and balance on the outside ski.

The trick with a javelin turn is to pick up your inside ski then steer your outside ski underneath the one you have picked up. If taken to the extreme, at the end of the turn your outside ski will end up pointing across the slope towards the side of the run while the ski that you picked up will be pointing down the hill.
