    INSTALLING STAFF STANDARDS & NON-NEGOTIABLES

     view description
    • Module 1.4: Installing Staff Standards & Non-Negotiables – Clarity Before Compliance

The purpose of Module 1.4 is to teach head coaches how to establish and enforce clear, behavioral staff standards as a predictable system—drawing from Industrial-Organizational Psychology research on leadership, role clarity, and accountability—to prevent program failure from assumed or inconsistently applied expectations, while avoiding emotional reactions or over-control.

It shifts from vague "hopes" for compliance to structured installation that fosters ownership, reduces conflict, and maintains high performance without exhausting the leader.

      Key elements you'll cover:

      • Core principles: Standards as enforceable behaviors (not preferences); clarity over charisma; predictability over motivation; enforcement as a system.
      • The five non-negotiable standards: Responsibility ownership, standards enforcement, communication/alignment, preparation/professionalism, and optional "every rep receives feedback."
      • Installation process: Leader-set but team-shaped for buy-in; documented and finalized by the head coach.
      • Accountability protocol: Correct → Clarify → Consequence ladder (verbal correction to removal), applied calmly based on patterns.
      • Integration with Module 1.2: Tailors enforcement to staff categories (e.g., Builders self-correct; Culture Risks escalate quickly).

You'll get short videos with real examples, plus printable standards templates, enforcement scripts, and consequence ladders. This module ensures standards become unavoidable, protecting your credibility and program integrity in the early days—because unclear systems lead to disengagement, not harder effort.
