A few quick thoughts on Day 1
Show up early, make sure you check the courts and the baskets. Several times we had issues with facilities being double-booked, the gym became the baseball camp's rain site...
Make sure you have an Athletic Trainer. They are expensive but it really helps the peace of mind.
Fill up the coolers, pump the basketballs, set up the chairs ...maybe even sweep the gym floor.
Make sure each coach receives a whistle, camp shirt and their instructions (assignments, teaching directives...etc) before the camp.
Ask the Staff to show up early - tell them to be there 30 minutes before - you really need them to show up.
I love to put staff at the baskets for early comers so they can get some instruction in.
On-site, have your medical forms should you need them.
Call all of the absentees each morning. You want to find out why they aren't at camp and most importantly you don't want someone lost on campus.
Meet with the entire staff before the staff starts and read them the rules of being on campus and about camp. We would have some rules about language, touching, no dating...
You have to do this prior to camp.
When campers arrive hand them (or their parents), the schedule and important information that they need to know (emergency phone number)... this fast start was very important to our camp success.

The purpose of this course is to give you everything you need to consider to run a great camp. Along with the course contents, you have templates that I have utilized to great success in running camp programs all throughout the Globe. Additionally, all course purchasers will also have an hour of my time to ask me anything about your upcoming camp or to do a post-camp hotwash.
