      Every school, every community, our entire world is in desperate need of great coaches.  What are the kids in your program learning from you that will continue to improve our communities long after your career is over? You see, we are all leaving a legacy through the lives of the kids we coach.

      Biography for Andy Cavalier:
      Andy Cavalier was raised in education.  His dad, Dennis, was a long-time coach and athletic director in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.  His mom, Kathy, is still teaching homebound students in her retirement.  One sister, Abby, is an administrator in the Pampa School District. His other sister, Katy, is a speech therapist for the Papillion LaVista Community Schools in Papillion, Nebraska. His brother, Tony, is a far better coach and is the defensive coordinator at Amarillo High.  Coach Cavalier graduated from Pampa High School and then played football at and graduated from Eastern New Mexico University, where he met his wife, Wendy.

      Coach Cavalier started his teaching and coaching career as an assistant coach and Algebra teacher in Pampa, under is dad, in 1998. In 2000 he became the defensive coordinator. After the 2002 football season Coach Cav got out of education and joined his wife’s family’s farming and ranching operation. In 2005 he got back into education and took a job as the defensive coordinator at Amarillo Tascosa. A year later, in 2006, he became the head football coach back at Pampa. In 2009 he went to Eastland as an assistant and then in 2014 came to Canadian as the Defensive Coordinator.
