The Inverted Top Hand Drill is helpful to the hitter whose swing is being dominated by the top hand. Evidence of this problem includes (1) too many ground outs to the pull side, or (2) pulling a lot of hard foul balls.
For some, this drill could be a big step toward hitting with more power. By correcting the issue of rolling the wrists over too quickly, you will find the strongest power position in your batting grip.
This tee drill teaches hitters to push through the baseball with the top hand but pull with the bottom hand all the way to a one handed finish. This drill is good for isolating your bottom hand and teaching it how to work together with an overactive top hand.
