    Welcome introduction

    • All content is based on never out-of-date physics and psychology of learning principles I learned from my Ph.D. degree that no other instructor knows about.  Using these principles I created six new teaching methods and numerous new visual, verbal, and kinesthetic (feeling water pressure) cues that are proven to get you faster longer-lasting results so that you can teach yourself or your children.

You'll get started at home without a pool using a kitchen sink, dressing mirror, mattress, and a bath tub so that if you have fears to overcome or you want to save money learning the basic fundamentals first this helps you get familiar with all the basic swimming skills.

Lessons cost money and are often taught by inexperienced poorly trained instructors without teaching degrees to know correct teaching methods or how to conduct group lessons.  Your child sits on the pool edge watching more than participating while you watch dollars fly out of your wallet like bats out of a cave.

You start to mumble to yourself how you could have taught your child to hold their breath and blow bubbles at home in your bath tub and saved $50.  Now remind yourself how you'll teach yourself or your kids backyard sports skills.  The purpose is to learn and get familiar with early skills, then transfer those same skills to the playing field or court to perform better.

I am your instructor with a Ph.D. in psychology of learning, 55+ years of degreed teaching experience, and Masters Swimming World & National Record holder in competition after being a 5-time All-American at Indiana coached by the legend Doc Counsilman.

Who would you rather teach and demonstrate skills to you on video?  Me or a high school kid who is not an accomplished swimmer?

I attached a 9 page article that is really 5 articles in one document.  One section has 10 points for how to choose a good swim instructor.  And most important has tips to avoid drowning because statistics tell us the #1 reason why people unintentionally drown is because they overestimate their swimming ability.

That said, "How well do you swim?  Could you improve your skills and knowledge of water safety?"  Then this series of courses will have something for you to consider investing in doing that will easily be worth ten times the price.  That is value with benefits so that every member of your family can participate.

And perhaps the greatest value is that you can download and view these course on your tablet or smartphone you can take to the pool or lake so that you can learn and do each lesson at your own pace shared with every family member when you go together for fun times!

You'll also get access to me via e-mail or my personal cell phone in San Diego to ask me and get good answers to all your questions.  My cell is 858-886-9820.  Call me if interested.  Dr. Pete
