There are many myths and common misconceptions about agents. Obviously one person can create a stereotype for a specific career -- both good and bad! But please don't assume. The only thing you do when you assume something about someone is make an ASS out of U and ME.

Please don't be that person who sees an agent and automatically assumes any of the following:

1) They are rich.

2) They are cool.

3) They are bad people

4) They get court-side tickets.

5) They have an easy job.

6) They can get you autographs.

I can go on... but we'll stop there for now. Maybe some agents you have met are cool. Maybe they screwed over your friend and did a bad job representing them. Maybe you even met an agent who hooked you up with court-side seats! The point is, everyone is different. So don't assume anything until you really get to know the person. And more importantly, until you really know what they do!
