    • Shuffles, Shuffle Changes and Over the Fence

      • Shuffles - Hands behind back, squat low, bend with the knees and hips - not at the back - and move side to side. 
      • Shuffle Changes - swivel hips and drop front foot back to change direction, forward and back.
      • Over the Fence - shuffle forward, bring the trailing leg up and over the imaginary fence.
      • Once your athletes advance, step inside-out instead of outside-in (as if you were stepping over a fence that is behind you).


      Coaching Tip: When your athletes are performing these shuffle drills, it is important that they avoid clicking their heels and bouncing up and down.
