Lesson 6:
Ground Ball Game
This is REALLY FUN game for younger players, as you see in the brief video.
Instructions:
Line up the kids on a spot in the infield.
Have a coach roll or hit a ball to a player.
The player will then throw to another coach at a particular base.
As soon as the coach (who is rolling or hitting the ball) says go, another player runs towards the base that the runner is heading towards.
So it is a race to get an out.
Variations:
Practice rolling and running towards each of the base, including HOME!
Practice with 2 runners, trying to get a double play!
