Lesson 4:
Hit the Hat
Always a fun game for the young players! Hit the Hat Game helps players use proper throwing mechanics – Ready, Break, Throw in a fun game.
Instructions:
Take an adjustable hat and snap it onto a high fence (behind home plate)
Divide up players into lines of 3 to 4 deep. Each line will have a winner and a playoff between line winners will end the contest.
Coach will call out to all players “Ready, Break, Throw.” Check for proper throwing mechanics based on Throwing Drills.
