- Here, the WS must respect the initial vertical stem of 2 and he will not make a "Wheel" call until after 2 breaks and threatens the Flat. 2 Read vs Fade-Out is tough for QBs, because they are taught to read the Corner. It will look initially like the Corner is running with the vertical of 1, but the Safety's call allows the Corner to quickly come off 1 and play the Out of 2. The LB has a "Slice" technique, which tells him to under-cut the Out of 2.
