      This drill develops the following: 

      ✅ Coordination of movement 

      • Arm blocking 

      • Active foot

      • Knee drive

      ✅ Driving and holding the knee

      ✅ Leg extension and force application for the back end of the hop phase

      Technical focus: Correct positioning (knee up, toe up, heel out)

      Proper mechanics
      Produce and apply vertical and horizontal forces quickly
      Effective and efficient movement

      Cues: 

            Feet:

                  Quick ground contact
                  Toe up, heel out
                  Heel to toe landing 

            Legs: 

                  Knee up, held until the transition phase
      Straight leg pull through    

            Arms: 

                  Freely swinging 

                  Long load, quick drive

      Benefits: 

      Optimal body positioning for horizontal explosion
      Coordination of movement
      Force applied in the right direction
      Force applied at the right time

      Reps:
