Skips
This drill develops the following:
✅ Coordination of movement
Arm blocking
Active foot
Knee drive
✅ Driving and holding the knee
✅ Leg extension and force application for the back end of the hop phase
Technical focus: Correct positioning (knee up, toe up, heel out)
Proper mechanics Produce and apply vertical and horizontal forces quicklyEffective and efficient movement
Cues:
Feet:
Quick ground contact Toe up, heel out Heel to toe landing
Legs:
Knee up, held until the transition phase Straight leg pull through
Arms:
Freely swinging
Long load, quick drive
