    • Medicine Ball Chop Throw (Explosiveness): 

       

      Why

      *Rotational speed and power development for driving
      *Efficient and effective transfer of weight from trail leg to drive leg

       

      How

      Feet:

      • Toes lined up, just as they would be when driving

      • Start:
        Trail foot 75%, Lead foot 25%

      • Finish:
        Trail foot 0%, Lead foot100%

      • Drive off the trail leg

      Knees:

               Athletic stance, just like the driving stance 

      Arms: 

      • Back in the load position; front hand is open so that the medicine ball
        (Total Control ball) can fly straight

      • Downward chop movement, driving the ball two feet ahead of the body

      • Keep arms straight all the way through, just like a driving swing

      • Drive down aggressively through the ground

      Do

       

      1x5, 1x3 at a speed that allows you to do the drill correctly
      *Use a cone as a target (two feet ahead of the body)
