The athlete will begin to learn to use the entire body when they put the shot. Bending the knees similar to a squat. Forcefully extend the legs and then put the shot. You should accomplish these movements in a coordinated effort.

In this course you will learn the drills & skills to help you master the power position and develop a great stand throw in shot put. Over 80% of the distance in the glide throw comes from the power position at the end of the throw. So when you improve on this aspect of your throw your distances will drastically improve.
