Now in his 30th season as the Head Baseball Coach at Delgado Community College, Scheuermann is continuing a proud family tradition while continuing to build an impressive record of achievements as one of Louisiana’s longest-tenured and most respected baseball coaches.
Scheuermann enters the 2020 season after a milestone-filled 2019 when he achieved his 1000th career victory as Head Coach at Delgado Community College with a 10-4 win over Coastal Alabama South on April 9 at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium. He is the first college coach in state history to achieve the 1000-win plateau at the same college and the thirtieth coach in NJCAA history to reach the milestone. Additionally, last May, Scheuermann was inducted into the National Junior College Athletic Association’s baseball coaches’ Hall of Fame, the first junior college coach in the state of Louisiana to join the prestigious hall. Entering the 2020 season, Scheuermann holds a 1007-497 overall win/loss record.
