Travis Earles was born and raised in Cypress, TX. Earles would go on to graduate

from Cypress Falls HS where he was a 2-year starting shortstop on the Varsity

Baseball Team. Both the 2004 & 2005 Cy- Falls baseball teams were the first and

only in school history to make it to the regional semifinals. Earles was voted the 2004 & 2005 16-5A 1st Team All District Shortstop and All-Houston All-Star. Earles continued his baseball career at Blinn College in Brenham, TX where he was a two-year starter at both shortstop and second base, while leading the Bucs to back-to-back regional tournament appearances. After his sophomore year at Blinn College he transferred to Texas A&M University - Kingsville. As a junior, was named the South Texas Collegiate Player of the Year. His senior year, Earles earned First Team Lone Star Conference and Second Team Daktronics All-Region honors. After his playing days, he stayed in Kingsville to assume a graduate assistant coaching position at Texas A&M University - Kingsville.


Coach Earles spent eighth seasons as the head assistant baseball coach at Summer Creek High School. The Bulldogs had an historic run over those years, qualifying for the 6a UIL Texas State Playoffs for 5 years in a row. In both 2021 & 2022 the Bulldogs were ranked in the top 25 Texas 6a Baseball Poll. In 2022 Summer Creek won the 21-6a District Champions. In 2019 & 2021, they were also Bi-District Champions for the first time in school history. In Earles’ seven seasons at SCHS, 6 teams have made the 6A UIL Playoffs, 5 All-State players, 40 players have received All District honors and 10 players have received All-Greater Houston honors. Earles was named the Head Baseball Coach at Magnolia West High School in June of 2022. In his first year the Mustangs won the 21-5A District Championship and then the 2023 Texas 5A State Championship. The 2023 Mustangs finished the season ranked number 13 in the nation. Coach Earles is married to his wife (Angelina) and they have two sons (Wyatt & Walker) and a daughter (Wren).
