Wesley Hearne - Katy HS

Coach Hearne has coached Texas High School baseball for 21 years.  He grew up in East Texas, playing ball for Lufkin-Hudson, then graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. He began his coaching career in South Texas, coaching football, basketball, and baseball for 5 years in Taft.  He coached football and baseball for 5 years in Needville, followed by 4 years at Katy High School.  He took 2 years to move back to East Texas to be with family and coached football and baseball at Lufkin High School before returning to Katy High School for the last 5 years.  The 2023 baseball season was his first as head coach following the retirement of legendary coach, Tom McPherson.  His team this year saw 30 wins as they went 5 rounds in the playoffs for the 3rd time in school history. Wes has been happily married to his wife Anna for 20 years and has 3 wonderful kids, Adelynn, Abigail, and Bryson.
