This guide will introduce you to a 5-out concept I call “Backdoor.” I have used it my entire coaching career - every single season. No matter what personnel I have on any given season, there is always a reason to install this concept, because it has multiple functions.

I use this offense to manage the clock, to attack pressure defenses, and I use this offense to teach my players our fundamentals. In seasons when we are undermanned more often than not, we use the offense as a tactic to combat pressure defense and manage the clock quite a bit. Each and every season we use this offense to teach fundamentals.
