Core Principles – How We Want to Playby Sean Sweeney
Detroit Pistons Assistant Coach Sean Sweeney describes basic principles that are necessary to build a winning program. He talks about how to build a competitive team that plays together and explains what are the basics of a good offense and defense in a well balanced winning culture.
Coach Sean Sweeney is currently NBA assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks under former NBA superstar Jason Kidd. Coach Sweeney has largely been credited in the past for the development of Giannis Antetokounmpo during his time in Milwaukee and was Giannis's preferred workout partner. Coach was the key contributor to making the Bucks defense skyrocket in defensive ratings after an abysmal 2013-14 season.
Influence on Giannis Antetokounmpo:
“Summer was for the Greek national team, for family and for grinding at the Bucks’ training facility or wherever business took him. For Antetokounmpo, Bucks assistant Sean Sweeney — and not LeBron or Kevin Durant or anyone else — would be his preferred workout partner”
