Jaret von Rosenberg enters his seventh season as the head coach for the Texas A&M University-Commerce men’s basketball program. He was just the fourth coach in the Lions’ NCAA Division II era and successfully guided them through their first Division I season. In their first Division I season, the Lions recorded crucial road wins at Air Force and Hawaii during non-conference play as well as a win over Eastern Kentucky. In Southland Conference play, A&M-Commerce beat the regular season and Southland tournament champion, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, on the road and handed Nicholls just its fifth loss at home since 2019, qualifying as the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament. In his six seasons, von Rosenberg has led A&M-Commerce to the NCAA Tournament three times in five opportunities. A&M-Commerce has never had a losing season in conference play under von Rosenberg, who became the sixth coach in school history with 100 career wins in 2022-23. Under his tutelage, five players have been named to all-region teams and 14 have garnered all-conference honors. A&M-Commerce holds a winning percentage of over .600 in six seasons under von Rosenberg.
