The Coach
Bree attended the University of Regina and played for the Cougar Woman’s basketball team from 1997-2003. She was a member of the Championship team in 2002. Over her 5 year playing career she received numerous awards and also enjoyed playing for the FISU National Team, in 1999.
Bree has been a junior and senior high school multi-sport coach for many years. She recently stepped away from the high school coaching scene to devote her time and attention on the development of basketball across the entire province. She has enjoyed her role as the High Performance Coach over the last 3 years. She loves coaching at the provincial level because her passion is in the development of fundamentals and skills in players. Bree will be coaching in the 2021 Canada Games as Head Coach of the U17 Team Saskatchewan Female Provincial Team.
Bree Burgess is the proud mother of Kierden and Sloan. Her partner, Jared Woloshyn, is a huge supportive fan of both Bree and BSI. Bree currently teaches, part-time, at Winston Knoll Collegiate in Regina.
