The Coach
A coaching veteran for over 15 years, Binghamton University Assistant Coach Marlon Guild brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the game of basketball. Prior to his time at Binghamton, Guild spent six seasons at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey where he helped lead the Broncs to three straight top three conference finishes. The 2017-18 squad went 22-10, including a dominating 15-3 mark in MAAC play. After capturing the regular season crown, Rider advanced to the NIT Tournament. His recruiting and player development resulted in seven all-conference selections in the MAAC.
At Saint Peter's University, Guild focused on the development of the Peacocks guards and under his tutelage two of them (Wesley Jenkins and Nick Leon) surpassed the 1,000 points plateau and led the program to a MAAC Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2011.
Guild began his college coaching experience in 2007 at Eastern Connecticut State University. He also coached five years with the Connecticut Basketball Club AAU program. During his time with 17U club, 23 of those players moved on to Division 1 basketball.
Guild also served as a recruiting analyst for Rivals.com for two years and a college basketball consultant with ESPN for four years.
