In his 21 years on the sideline he has been a volunteer, Junior High, 9th grade, JV, Varsity Assistant and Head Coach. Most recently, as head coach, guided the Plano East Panthers to a 40-0 record and the 6A State Championship. Wester was recognized by District 6-6A as the Coach of the Year for the past two seasons. He was also named the Dallas Morning News, Plano Star Courier, and Inside High School Sports, and MaxPreps Coach of the Year.
