The Coach
Ryan Taplin is the Head Boys Basketball Coach at San Antonio LEE High School where he just completed his 4th Year as the Head Coach. Prior to that, he spent 10 seasons as the 1st Assistant at Lee and 2 years as a Volunteer Assistant at San Antonio MacArthur. With Coach Taplin at the helm, the Volunteers have won 60 games in the last 3 years and were Bi-District Finalist in 2022 and 2024. He was also the 2022 Don Coleman Award Winner for 6A.
He is married to his wife, Ashley, and they have two boys, Roe (8) and Grey (6).
