Kurt Guelsdorf is in his 27th year coaching and 1st at the collegiate level. He began coaching and teaching after earning an undergraduate degree at Portland State University and Arizona State University for teacher education graduate work, and Portland State again for a Masters Degree.

Guelsdorf was the head or co-head girls’ basketball coach at Oregon City High School from 2003-2018. The Pioneers had a record of 354-67 during that time, an 84% winning percentage. Oregon City also won 13 District Championships and 3 State Championships. His overall record in 21 years as a head high school girls’ basketball coach is 451-123, #8 All-Time in Oregon High School history. Previous to Oregon City, Guelsdorf was at Gresham High School, his alma mater, for 8 years, 6 as head girls’ basketball coach. 

Guelsdorf has been named District Coach of the Year 8 times and State of Oregon Coach of the Year 2 times. He Co-Coached his first 3 years at Oregon City High School with recent Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Coach Brad Smith

It was awesome. Coach Kurt is knowlega le and really studies the game. His insight here is very hood. His ideas and offerings are grest.
