For the last 28 years, I have been lucky enough to teach basketball to 5 year old beginners to 30 year old professional players from all over NC, the USA, and Europe. I started my coaching career at Greensboro Day School and went on to coach at Jordan HS, Durham Academy, Northern Durham HS, and most recently at Cary Academy in Cary, NC. Also during that time I have coached at the club level on the boys side and most recently as the head coach and founder of the NC Attack basketball club (2012...) with high school girls from the Raleigh/Durham area. My main passion over the last 28 years is teaching the game and the essential skills necessary for success on and off the court.
My #1 goal in teaching players is to raise their skill level so that they have more fun playing the game. More Skill = More Fun! From the 5 year old beginner to the professional player, the number one reason we all play is for FUN. If players lack a major skill like shooting, weak hand dribbling, or passing vision, they will eventually become frustrated. During my workouts, players will work extremely hard to attack their weaknesses and turn their strengths into weapons.
Throughout my life, I have been truly blessed by the game of basketball. I have met so many amazing people and learned many valuable life lessons. I feel a strong passion to give back as much as possible. I use basketball as a tool to help players learn the essential skills necessary for success on and off the court. I look forward to teaching so many wonderful players in the future
