Terrell Johnston- Cheating A Championship Environment

Build a stronger, more connected basketball program with Coach Terrell Johnston’s proven approach to culture, accountability, player relationships, and competitive basketball. With over 23 years of high school coaching experience and multiple deep playoff runs at Davenport High School, Johnston shows how culture can become a competitive advantage.

What You’ll Learn:

• Building Team Culture: Create a team where players trust, support, and fight for each other.

• Player Relationships: Use weekly 10-minute meetings, team activities, and meaningful connections to build trust and buy-in.

• Defining Player Roles: Clearly communicate expectations, strengths, playing roles, and opportunities for growth.

• Creating Accountability: Establish standards, communicate expectations, and push players while showing them you genuinely care.

• Supporting Multi-Sport Athletes: Build a program that supports athletes across basketball, track, cross country, water polo, and other activities.

• Competitive Basketball: Learn practical full-court pressure, no-middle defense, small-sided games, shooting drills, and offensive sets.

• Building Community: Strengthen parent and community support through events, celebrations, school involvement, and service.

Coach Johnston’s message is simple: culture wins games. Learn how to build relationships, create buy-in, develop accountability, and create a program your players will remember long after the season ends.
