UAH`s Multiple Defensive System
by John ShulmanDescription
Every team approaches every game with its own defensive strategies and systems. You need to in order to be able to adapt to anything the opposition might throw your way. Being defensively prepared for it can be the difference-maker and ultimately impact the result of the game.
Throughout the course of a game, a team can employ a variety of defensive strategies, all of which fall into one of three primary categories: zone defenses, man-to-man defenses, and combination defenses.
With repeated practice and special situation drills, multiple defensive strategies can be developed. Every time the offense comes down the floor, the defense can choose from man coverage, box coverage, diamond coverage, triangle coverage, or a triangle and one coverage.
In this course, Coach John Shulman talks about his program's defensive systems as well as making it your own. He gives us a thorough breakdown of several defensive concepts he uses to get a competitive edge over the opposing team.
