In this course we do a deep dive on one of the mist unique offences in College Football. From the Personnel & formations, to Coach Gattis's creative use of end arounds & Flea Flickers we break down the film study on all aspects of this offence including:
- Personnel, formations & philosophy
- Unbalanced formations
- Gap Run Schemes & RPO's (including Power, Y Counter, GT Counter, Pin & Pull, Duo)
- Zone run game & RPO's
- End Around Concepts
- Flea Flicker Plays
In creating this course, I reviewed all 13 games michigan played and clips are included throughout the course. The Scheme used by the Wolverines is one of the more unique combinations for spread offence and traditional 12 & 21 Personnel Offence. The offence is especially unique when you factor in the number of Constraint plays (like end around & flea flickers) to constantly stress defensive systems. There are a number of creative presentations of the same core offensive concepts in this offence which make me feel it can be beneficial to coaches at all levels of football.
Following my athletic career as an Offensive Lineman at Wilfrid Laurier University I immediately got into coaching at the Canadian University Level as the Assistant Offensive Line Coach with Wilfrid Laurier Football. During my 7 years with the Golden Hawks I served as the Assistant Offensive Line Coach, Running Backs Coach, Run Game Coordinator and Associate Offensive Coordinator. I have also been coaching at the high school level for the past 8 years, Including the last 6 as the Head Coach of the Varsity Cambridge Lions. During my Time with the Lions I have also served as the Offensive & Defensive Coordinator for multiple season.
Since 2020 I have been making content for coaches as through 3DownDevelopment. In that role I have broke down some of the top Offenses and Defenses on Both sides of the Border. Since Starting 3DownDevelopment we have ammased over 1500 Subscribers on Youtube! Check us out today.
