A Modular Pressure System for All Coverages and Formations
by Andy Merfeld
Description
Do you have a pressure system? Does it allow you to disguise your intentions and bring the best available player based on the formation? Does it hold up versus empty, quads, motions, and compressed formations? Does it work with every pressure coverage you want to use? If the answer to any of these questions is 'no,' then this is the course for you! This course will help you create a structure for your edge blitzes so that you can teach a system from day one and stick with it throughout the season.
Coach Merfeld details a modular system for edge blitzes including strong- and weak-side rules along with motion adjustments. He also goes in depth on the responsibilities, techiques, and thought processes for edge blitzers defending both the run and the pass.
No matter what front and coverage structure you use, this course will help you design a comprehensive and sound pressure system that works with nearly any pressure coverage and holds up against all formations!
