Peveto has accumulated more than 30 years of coaching experience after spending the previous seven seasons as an assistant in the Southeastern Conference, with stops at Texas A&M, Ole Miss, LSU, and Kentucky. Most recently, Peveto served as the linebackers coach at Texas A&M from 2018-19. Overall, Peveto has 13 years of experience as an assistant coach in the SEC.

Peveto is teaming with coach Dana Dimel for the second time.  He was the co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach at Houston from 1999-02.

Prior to his tenure at Texas A&M, Peveto served as the linebackers coach at Ole Miss during the 2017 season. In the first of his two stints at LSU, Peveto led the linebackers and also served as the special teams coordinator (2005-07) and the co-defensive coordinator (2008). Peveto returned to LSU in 2014 and spent three seasons on the staff, directing the linebackers and serving as the special team’s coordinator.
