Chris Foerster is the current Run Game Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach for the San Francisco 49ers, a position he has held since 2021. This marks his third tenure with the team, as he previously served as the 49ers' offensive line coach in 2008-09 and again in 2015. Over his years with the 49ers, Foerster has become known for his ability to develop strong, cohesive offensive lines that play a crucial role in both the running game and protecting the quarterback.

Before his most recent stint as the offensive line coach, Foerster worked as an assistant offensive line coach in 2020, after spending two years (2018-2019) as a consultant with the team. His experience and knowledge of the 49ers’ system made him an invaluable resource in helping to improve their offensive line, leading to his return as the run game coordinator in 2021.

Foerster has a wealth of experience in the NFL, having worked with multiple teams in various coaching capacities throughout his career. His first major coaching role came with the Miami Dolphins, where he served as the offensive line coach from 2011 to 2015. He also had a stint as the offensive coordinator for the Dolphins in 2016 before returning to the 49ers.

Throughout his career, Foerster has developed a reputation for coaching powerful, disciplined offensive lines that are central to the success of a team’s running attack. His expertise in both the running game and pass protection has helped shape the 49ers' offense, contributing to the team's success in recent seasons. Foerster’s deep understanding of offensive line play and his ability to develop players has made him a key figure in the 49ers’ coaching staff.

This concept of trying to make plays look the same to the LB's is intriguing. The film does not lie, it works. I especially like the way he blocks the Deuce. Great video.
