The Coach
David Hay - Head Coach - Glenwood Athletics
David Hay will be in his 7th Season as Head Football Coach at Glenwood High School in the Fall of 2022. It will be his 31st year coaching high school football and his 29th at Glenwood. Hay joined the Glenwood Football Coaching Staff in 1994 as a Varsity Receivers Coach. Over the next 22 years as an assistant, Hay served at times as a position coach for the team's defensive backs, running backs, and defensive line. He became the fifth Head Coach in the history of the program in 2016. Hay's teams have earned an IHSA playoff bid every season and have won two Central State 8 Championships in 2018 and 2019. The 2019 Titans also advanced to the IHSA Class 6A Semifinals and finished with a record of 12-1.
David has served as a teacher and Assistant Principal during his time at Glenwood. He resides in Chatham with his wife Jane and two sons, Brandon (Class of 2017) and Justin (Class of 2024).
