Curt Fitzpatrick has been the head football coach at SUNY Cortland since February 2020, leading the Red Dragons to significant success. Over his first two seasons, Fitzpatrick's teams achieved a remarkable 34-4 record, including a historic 14-1 season culminating in the 2023 NCAA Division III title. His accomplishments earned him multiple national coaching awards, as his team won five consecutive playoff games, concluding with a thrilling victory over the defending national champions. Under Fitzpatrick's leadership, Cortland secured three Empire 8 titles with undefeated regular seasons from 2021 to 2023 and set numerous offensive records, including points and yards per game.

Before joining Cortland, Fitzpatrick served as head coach at Morrisville State from 2013 to 2019, where he led the Mustangs to four winning seasons and three ECAC bowl appearances. He previously worked as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Utica College, where his innovative offense gained national recognition. A native of Fulton, N.Y., and a standout quarterback at St. John Fisher College, Fitzpatrick holds a bachelor's degree in management and a Master of Science in athletic administration from Ohio University. He resides in Tully, N.Y., with his wife, Molly, and their three children.
