The Coach
To say that Legendary Head Coach, Ernie Cooper, built the Granite Bay High School Football program from the ground up is an understatement. Head Coach since the day the school opened, Cooper won more than 150 games, 10 league championships, five section titles and the school’s first CIF state championship in 2012 before he resigned in June of that year. Cooper was also named Cal-Hi Sports 2012 State Coach of the Year. Returning to the helm of the program in 2014, Cooper resigned in 2015 to spend more time with his family. In 2017, Cooper returned to coach the Granite Bay High School Freshman Football Team for a few seasons just for fun before retirement.
