The Coach

Rhett Peltier

Coach Peltier has 18 years of high school football coaching experience with the most recent two as Running Backs Coach and Special Teams Coordinator at Destrehan High School. For the last two seasons, Peltier has assisted the Destrehan football program in semi-final (2018) and state final (2019) appearances.

Before his current position at Destrehan High School, Peltier served as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach for 10 years at Loreauville High School (2008-2018) and Head Football Coach (2017-2018). There, he orchestrated a spread offense that set many school offensive records that helped lead to 9 playoff appearances.

Prior to his time at Loreauville, Peltier served as Offensive Line Coach at Patterson High School (2007-2008). That season resulted in a semi-final appearance. Before this, he was the Offensive Line Coach at Catholic High-New Iberia (2004-2007). In addition to playoff appearances each of these three years, it also included a quarterfinal appearance (2006).

Peltier started his coaching career at Hanson High School (2002-2004) as the Running Backs and Linebackers Coach after receiving his Master’s of Science degree from Louisiana State University.
