Jason Miran was named the Bucknell football team's offensive coordinator on February 15, 2019. Miran, who was selected to the prestigious AFCA 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute in 2021, also works with the Bison quarterbacks.

Miran followed Bucknell head coach Dave Cecchini from Valparaiso University, where he served in the same position for Cecchini's five seasons at the helm. Miran played a key role in Valparaiso's turnaround, guiding the offense to historic numbers. In 2017, Valparaiso totaled 330 points and 4,398 yards, both good for second in school history, en route to its first winning season since 2003. The following campaign, Valparaiso scored 290 points, tied for the fifth-highest total in the program's annals. Entering 2018, Valparaiso had not scored at least 290 points in back-to-back seasons since 1950 and 1951.
