Jeff Long is the head coach at Moravian in 2023. He led the Greyhounds to a 4-6 record, their most wins since 2019, and a tie for fourth place in the Landmark Conference with a 3-3 record. Under his leadership, eight players were named to the inaugural All-Landmark Team, including five first-team selections. Quarterback Jared Jenkins set school records for completion percentage (64%), completions (244), and touchdown passes (26), leading the conference in touchdowns, passing yards, and passing yards per game. Wide receiver Jordan Bingham also broke a single-season record with 69 receptions and led the conference in receiving yards and receptions per game. Running back Nate Boyle finished his career ranked seventh all-time in rushing yards and third in rushing yards per game in Moravian history. Long was also selected for the AFCA 35 Under 35 Coaching Leadership Program.

Before joining Moravian, Long spent six years at John Carroll University, serving as the defensive line coach and defensive coordinator, where he helped the team achieve a 39-12 record, one NCAA playoff berth, and five top-25 finishes. John Carroll's defense was particularly dominant from 2017-2022, leading all college football programs in sacks per game. In 2022, the defense ranked in the top 20 nationally in several categories, including total defense, scoring defense, and rushing defense. Before John Carroll, Long coached at Wilkes University and worked as a scouting intern for the Philadelphia Eagles. He began his coaching career at the high school level and played collegiate football at Muhlenberg College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in history.
