Starting his career in Houston at Woodland Acres Middle School, he quickly established himself as a teacher of fundamentals, guiding first-time players and building a reputation as a relentless developer of talent.
From there, he moved through the high school ranks at Galena Park and North Shore, where he played a pivotal role in building powerhouse programs and connecting with top college recruiters. His career took off when he joined Hall of Fame coach Lovie Smith at Illinois, gaining Big Ten experience and proving his ability to compete and succeed at the highest level.
