Keep Growing - Carlos Lynn & the Cedar Hill HS Staff

Coach Carlos Lynn is starting his 26th year in coaching.  His first 3 years he served as a speech teacher and coach at Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas, TX.  His last year there he was the Offensive Coordinator.  He then moved on to Cedar Hill High School in 1998.  He was the Defensive Line Coach until 2003 when he was elevated to Defensive Coordinator.  He served in that capacity until 2008.  Coach Lynn has served as head football coach at Arlington Seguin for 9 years.  Lynn is now entering his 5th year as the Head Coach of the Cedar Hill Longhorns.  He led the Longhorns to the 2020 6A Division 2 State Finals. 

Coach Lynn graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School in 1991, 8th in his class.  He was the team captain of the 1990 4A State Championship team at Wilmer-Hutchins.  He received a football scholarship to East Central University.  While at East Central he was a part of the 1992 Oklahoma Intercollegiate Conference Championship Team and the 1993 N.A.I.A. Division 1 National Championship Team.  Also, in 2006 he coordinated the Cedar Hill defense to a 16-0 record en route to the 5A Division 2 State Championship.  Coach Lynn took a 1-9 program at Seguin and turned it into a well-respected playoff team.  He has been involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for over 20 years.  In 2013, he was awarded the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddle Leader of the Year. 

Coach Lynn is an ordained deacon of the Church at the Inspiring Body of Christ Church (IBOC) in Dallas, TX where the Pastor is Rickie Rush.  He is also a motivational speaker and team builder.  He is a devoted husband of 22 years to Antwanette Lynn. They have a 17-year-old son named Caleb a two-time cancer survivor.
