Kevin Callahan Jr. joined Monmouth Football in March 2019 as the Wide Receivers Coach and later took on the role of Recruiting Coordinator in 2022. Entering his sixth season with Monmouth in 2024, Callahan Jr. has consistently developed high-performing wide receivers, with his players earning all-conference honors each year. In 2023, Dymere Miller led the FCS in receiving yards (1,293) and receiving yards per game (117.5), earning consensus First Team All-American honors and setting multiple program records. Previously, Miller was a Second Team All-CAA selection in 2022, despite missing two games due to injury. Callahan Jr. also coached Terrance Greene Jr. and Lonnie Moore IV, who earned All-Big South honors for three consecutive seasons and are among Monmouth's all-time leaders in receptions, yardage, and touchdowns.

Before Monmouth, Callahan Jr. was the running backs coach at Lafayette in 2018 and spent three seasons coaching at Columbia University. At Lafayette, he managed running back duties, recruited in North Jersey, New York, and New England, and handled offensive film responsibilities. At Columbia, he worked with various offensive positions and assisted with recruiting and analytics. Callahan Jr., a former defensive back at Amherst College, also coached at his alma mater, where he recruited nationwide and managed the football team's social media. A 2014 Amherst graduate, he was a three-time NESCAC All-Academic Team selection and the recipient of the 2013 James E. Ostendarp Scholar-Athlete Award, recognizing his academic and athletic excellence.
