Kevon Beckwith is the interior defensive line coach and joined the Temple Football staff in February 2024. Originally from New Orleans, Beckwith spent the 2023 season with Southeast Missouri in the Ohio Valley Conference. His previous coaching roles include stints at Incarnate Word in 2022, Northwestern State in 2021, Austin Peay from 2019-2020, and Louisiana-Lafayette from 2014-2019.

At UIW, Beckwith led his team to 43 sacks and a 12-2 season, ultimately losing in the FCS Semifinals to North Dakota State. He coached two first-team all-conference defensive linemen and helped UIW finish ninth in the FCS for team sacks while leading the nation in tackles for a loss.

In the preceding year at Northwestern State, Beckwith’s team recorded 31 sacks, ranking 22nd in the nation, with Isaiah Longino leading the team with 9.5 sacks and earning a first-team All-Southland Conference selection by Phil Steele.

Before Northwestern State, Beckwith spent two seasons at Austin Peay. He started as the assistant defensive line coach in 2019 and was promoted to defensive line coach in 2020. During his time there, Austin Peay ranked 36th in the FCS for team sacks and ninth for tackles for a loss.
