The Coach

Mike Kirschner

Coach Mike Kirschner led the Ben Davis High School to an Indiana High School Athletic Association Class 6A state championship in 2014 with a 12-2 record. In 2017, he guided the Giants to an undefeated season and a 14-0 season for their second 6A state championship and ninth state title in program history. Kirschner was 95-36 in 11 seasons as head coach at Ben Davis. He also coached as an assistant at Warren Central for head coach Dave Shelbourne from 1990-95 and as a head coach at Cascade from 1996-99. In both 2014 and 2017, Coach Kirschner was named the Indiana Football Coaches Association Coach of the Year. In 2018, Coach Kirschner left Ben Davis to take over Mt. Vernon High School's program as their new head coach.
