The Coach
Mike Saint Germain, a Lafayette College alum from '07, is now in his second year as the Leopards' defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. Under his guidance in 2022, the Leopards' defense stood out, ranking second in the Patriot League for team defense and leading in rushing defense. Notably, players like Malik Hamm, Damon Washington, DaRon Gilbert, Jyaire Stevens, and Marco Olivas shone brightly, earning multiple All-Patriot League honors.
Before joining Lafayette, Saint Germain spent time at Kutztown University, where he played a pivotal role in shaping one of NCAA Division II's top defenses in 2021. His coaching journey began at Franklin and Marshall, and he later moved on to Virginia Military Institute, where he handled various defensive positions and recruiting responsibilities. As a Lafayette player, Saint Germain was a key contributor to the team's success, earning accolades like All-Patriot League First-Team honors.
