Justin Carrigan enters his sixth season as the only head coach in the history of UT Permian Basin Football. In that time, Carrigan has been the architect of the team’s rise culminating in a perfect 5-0 season in the spring of 2021.
The Falcons used an aerial attack this spring where they threw for 14 touchdown passes in just five games, including twice tying the program record in a single game. The team had major big play ability, none longer than Brayden Thomas’ 99-yard strike to MJ Link to tie an NCAA record. The defense was also sensational, allowing just 12.6 points per game. They forced 16 turnovers in their 5-0 season and set a team record with 12 interceptions.
